Description
--The Global Shared Services Group has responsibility for the performance, maintenance and development of Novell, Windows XP / 2000 / 2003, VMS, and Linux Server environments, Cisco LAN, Oracle database administration, second level user support, systems security, backup and recovery, and other IT service provision areas.
--The Server Team is specifically responsible for all aspects of the server platform lifecycle, from system requirements planning through systems management, maintenance, performance and disaster recovery.
Person Specification:
--Hold a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or hold relevant certifications, and will have a number of years relevant work experience.
--Experience of managing Windows 2000/2003 Intel Server Platforms, Active Directory, Citrix Servers, and HP Openview.
--Exposure to VM Ware, HP and Stratus Hardware, HP EVA Storage, OpenVMS or Linux (Suse / Red Hat) would be advantageous. Knowledge of Shop Floor Automation Systems would also be beneficial.
--Previous experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment is highly desirable, knowledge of Pharmaceutical Regulatory Requirements, FDA and ISO standards would also be an advantage.
--Possess excellent communication, problem solving, leadership and organisational skills. Have the ability to lead projects, and work as part of a team.
