Special Duties/Job Function:
1) The candidate should have total 6 to 8 years of IT infrastructure /System Admin Management experience.
2) Should have exposure to Virtualization technologies like Vmware, Solaris container, AIX LPAR, HP-UX vPAR, as well as for managing SAN environment.
3) UNIX and Windows Systems Administration.
4) Support all Production initiatives locally and globally on the open systems, UNIX platforms like Solaris, HP UX, and AIX.
5) Exposure to installation of database like Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MSSQL.
6) Hands on experience for configuring and troubleshooting NIS, NFS, Samba, FTP, DNS services
7) Shell scripting knowledge is must
8) Work on Remedy problem queues, updating hardware asset database with new information as problems are worked.
9) Exposure to working with US clients is highly desirable.
10) The position requires the person to work in 24x7 shift environment.
Required Skills: Special Qualifications:
1) Bachelor's degree or equivalent
2) Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
3) Ability to perform in a team environment
4) Maintain confidentiality of information.
5) Provides a high level of professionalism and customer service in all dealings with internal customers
6) Familiarity with ITIL Solutions is a plus.
7) Certification like SCSA, RHCE and SNA will be added advantage.
8) Strong verbal and written communication skills.
