Special Duties/Job Function:
1) Manage and maintain high uptime for network
2) Participate in shift rotation and provide off-hours support as needed
3) Follow Change control process for making any changes to the production network components
4) Opening tickets with external service providers for various circuits related outages and escalating non resolved tickets
5) Updating the internal ticket system with detailed notes on the troubleshooting steps taken to resolve an incident
6) Managing and maintaining documentation related to troubleshooting and day to day operations
7) Follows escalation procedures when incidents require escalation to the next level of support
8) Assists with technical evaluations of new hardware as needed
9) Assists with network related projects as and when required
10) Communicate effectively with internal customers
11) Resolving level 1 calls for PBX/VOIP and voice mail related problems on various platforms
Required Skills: Special Qualifications:
1) About 3 to 5 years of networking experience
2) Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3) Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
4) Ability to perform in a team environment
5) Maintain confidentiality of information.
6) Troubleshooting network Lan/Wan problems, resolving tickets based on internal ticketing system and resolving them
7) 2 to 3 years experience with Cisco switches/routers
8) 1 to 2 years experience on routing protocols like OSPF/Eigrp/BGP etc. etc.
9) Thorough knowledge of Spanning tree protocol
10) Worked at least for an year on Load balancers like Big IP, CSS or Radware
