Duties
Our Client is looking for a Bilingual BI Specialist to ensure strong and continuous support of the BI environment which is based on the Cognos suite of tools running on several Windows 2003 servers.
The specific activities to be undertaken are:
1. Monitor and tune the BI environments in both development and production;
2. Assist developers in the design of BI objects;
3. Review BI objects design and advise developers on migration to production methods;
4. Investigate and resolve database problems originating either from the specific application or the BI environment;
5. Provide migration strategies to new versions of the BI suite of tools; and
6. Provide strategic advice for the direction of BI in the department.
Skills
1. Services and Communications provided in both Official Languages ie. English and French;
2. Secret Level Security Clearance;
3. Knowledge of off-the-shelf applications including PeopleSoft HRMS and Oracle Financials; and
4. Must have at least 2 years experience with the COGNOS BI tools.
