Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review requirements and specifications documents and provide feedback
• Create a thorough work plan from the requirements and specifications, with software design details and enumerate all the implementation tasks, their dependencies and estimates for executing them
• Implement the solution to meet the requirements and specifications without compromising schedule or budget or quality
• Solve problems and issues creatively and independently
• Proactively raise awareness of issues, problems, risks and changes in schedule
• Demonstrate full ownership and follow-through on assigned tasks
• Perform thorough unit testing of deliverables before handing over to quality assurance for functional testing
• Create detailed documentation on the implementation detailing any known issues, workarounds, configuration information
• Manage and maintain existing projects according to main application release cycle
• Provide analysis and quick fixes for issues that are reported by customers
Requirements:
• 3-5 years web-development experience
• Experience in all tiers of web-application development
• 2 years experience using ASP.NET and the .NET Framework (1.1 and 2.0) in developing web-based business applications
• In-depth understanding of ASP.NET UI (user control, server control, and custom event handler)
• 2 years of experience with C# preferred; alternatively, strong experience in C++ and Java would suffice
• Experience with XML technologies such as XML, XSD, XSL, and XSLT
• Experience with SQL; ability to form SQL queries; write stored procedures and simple SQL administration tasks. MS SQL Reporting/Clarity is a plus
• Experience with thin-UI development: HTML, Javascript and CSS. AJAX is a big plus
• Experience using Microsoft IIS for web-application development; experience with simple IIS administration tasks
• Experience using Microsoft Development Tools: Visual Studio.NET (1.1 and 2.0), Microsoft .NET development tools and libraries
• Excellent software design and analysis skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and, self-manage tasks and time
• Good English Speaking and Writing Skills
Desired Knowledge/Skills:
• Successfully completed one or more commercial software development cycles
• Understand the client/server application design and development methodologies and process
• Experience with COM, IIS, Web-Services, SOAP
• Experience with MS SQL Reporting Services or Clarity is a big plus
• Experience with InstallShield 12 Premier MSI Installer is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must (Must know and be able to articulate technical idioms in English)
