Primary job responsibilities include:
*Working with project and business leads to develop and clarify in-depth technical requirements
*Developing creative, innovative and practical solutions
Working with senior management to establish the technical soundness of the solution
*Using and improving the productivity of the development process
Participating in design/architectural discussions
*Working with senior managers to estimate cost, resource needs, and project duration
*Performing general system maintenance and Production support as necessary
Required Skills:
*6+ years JAVA experience
*2+ years experience in the design and development as a Tech Lead for a small development team or project
*Solid understanding of J2EE architecture and design patterns
*Enterprise applications leveraging industry best practices, particularly UML modeling and Use Case driven development
* Experience with advanced OOA/OOD techniques to design UML/RUP experience (preferred)
*Experience with XML-related technologies including XSLT and SOAP
*Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, HSQL DB (a plus)
*Open source technologies and Standards
