Essential Skills
* Enterprise Application Development with J2EE
* n-tier application development
* Regardless of J2EE general experience of the overall platform, with specific
experience of the key technologies (eg JDBC, EJB, JMS, etc)
* Presentation-tier Experience of JSP
* Experience of rich-client technology advantageous
* Adobe Flex, Flash MX and Flash Remoting - advantageous
* Java Swing or AWT
* XUL or XAML
* Strong OO Analysis and Design Skills
* Software design patterns
* Pragmatism - good balance between designing and delivering
* Strong understanding of relational database technology
* Database design and normalisation
* Experience of one or more of MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server 2000, DB2
* Agile Development Experience desirable
