Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining several OLTP databases.
* Dealing with partitioning, diagnostics tools, UNIX scripting, writing documentation and some programming with PL/SQL.
* Maintaining and troubleshooting all database issues and problems as well as analyze system performance and provide viable solutions.
* Communicate with customers, co-workers and management and relate/update/brief on any issues that would cause problems or suggest improvement procedures that can increase efficiency and overall system performance.
* Supporting UNIX and Windows environments.
Candidate must have experience with:
* Oracle9 i and/or 10 Enterprise Edition databases, Dataguard, and Streams in a Unix environment.
* Database backup and recovery procedures and techniques.
CLEARANCE: TS/SCI (Top secret with sensitive compartmented information).
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: An industry-recognized certification is required
EXPEIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED: This position requires 5 years of experience.
