  Job Description
Job Responsibilities :-

- Integrating interface and business requirements into coherent, usable, quality applications; and designing user interface of functionality and content, tailored in usability to the end-user or target market.
- Interfacing implementation and front-end programming of projects, systems, and applications.
- Page development and implementation, including HTML layout, tables, frames, forms, style sheets, and creation of navigation, buttons, and graphics based on design templates and functional specifications. Development of dynamic pages may include implementation of JavaScript, conditional code, and calls to dynamic fields and properties.
- Creating and updating pages in static XHTML, HTML, as well as in dynamic formats such as JSP, JSF, and/or XML for product implementation, prototype, mockup, or demo purposes.
- Working with manager and group team members to coordinate details of interface development of assigned projects, including interpretation and implementation of functional specifications, and coordination of project resources and timeline.
- Ensuring web page and product application interfaces are implemented as indicated in design templates, functional specifications, and implementation guidelines.
- Performing quality check on code to ensure efficient and optimal implementation before release, and providing technical guidance and support to other interface developers as necessary.
- Remaining current on interface development principals, practices, and technologies, including new HTML and other web language formats, browser specifications, programs, utilities, etc.
- Assisting in developing and enforcing interface development standards, such as style sheet, or navigation standards for specific projects, applications, or web sites.
- May be required to assume a leadership role for other interface development staff.
- Performing other duties as may be assigned by management.

Education/Experience :-

- At least five years web design and development experience with an emphasis on usability, site architecture, and interface design, plus two years supervisory and mentoring experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- The following specific skills, knowledge, and/or abilities are required: Expert knowledge of usability principles and best industry practices in interface, site and information architecture, and navigation design.
-Experience in designing usable functionality and processes in dynamic environments in addition to solid experience in static layout of information and content for usability.
- Ability to interpret and contribute to functional requirements and flow diagrams and translate them into design and development of consistent web page and component structures.
- Proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Section 508 standards, advanced HTML including tables, forms, frames and cascading style sheets.
- Ability to write HTML pages in a text editor, without a web authoring tool. Knowledge of limitations in web design and development, including code compatibility issues with different browser types and versions. Experience working with templating and dynamic environments (JSP, JSF, JavaScript).
- Good understanding of programming and database principles and ability to create user interfaces that leverage technical abilities of the system while optimizing the user experience.
- Knowledge and experience in web site design and administration applications and tools, such as HomeSite, Photoshop, -Acrobat, Dreamweaver, and source control (e.g., CVS, SubVersion), bug tracking, and FTP software; experience in image conversion and manipulation; and basic knowledge and experience in web site interactivity technology, such as JavaScript, GIF animation, and Flash.
- Experience writing and maintaining support documentation (e.g. UI development standards and guidelines)
