  Job Description
Description

* Lead all aspects of developing the IT technical architecture, architecture process, frameworks and best practices, as well as oversee the technology integration function to ensure technical alignment across business applications, data management, server, storage and network platform environments.
* Provide strategic guidance to both IT support teams as well as individual projects requiring the integration/SOA technology solutions.
*Have demonstrated knowledge and experience designing, developing and deploying services based architectures, integrated application environments and governance.
*Contribute in the development of the IT Infrastructure Architecture Framework and identify / evaluate / prioritize SOA initiatives within ongoing and planned Infrastructure, Application Architecture and Strategic opportunities.
* Work closely with other business, project, development and infrastructure teams to ensure the successful end-to-end integration of key business initiatives.
* Define practical approaches and plans for integrating and implementing current and future integration and service initiatives.
* Have prior experience balancing short term needs and problems with future strategic directions and opportunities.

Requirements

*Applicants must either possess a current U.S. Government personnel security clearance at the level of Top Secret, or be eligible to possess a Top Secret security clearance (United States citizens). Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
* Four (4) year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related IT discipline (advanced degree preferred).
* Minimum of 10 years experience in infrastructure architecture, solution design, sizing application development and integration.
* Experience matching design criteria with capacity, availability and SLA requirements, particularly for Unix Wintel environments.
* Significant working knowledge of multi-platform and multi-technology environments including IBM Unix platforms and Wintel platforms.
* Substantial experience in successfully and effectively mapping business and non-functional requirements to software project initiatives.
* Deep experience with Infrastructure architecture and Enterprise Infrastructure support or Operations.
* Detailed knowledge of Virtual technologies including CPU, Storage and backups.
* In-depth understanding of SOA design principles.
* Expert knowledge of at least one ERP system (preferably Oracle).
* Good experience with SQL and relational databases such Oracle and MSSQL.
* Experience with effective time management and working with multiple project teams simultaneously.
* Knowledge of and at least 3+ years of solid experience working with Agile Development methodologies and delivery.
* A history of having implemented solutions across multiple environments and platforms including Windows, UNIX, AIX, and Linux.
* Knowledge of more than one of the following middleware platforms: IBM WebSphere, Oracle Weblogic and SOA suite, TIBCO and performing system integration using middleware products such as IBM MQ Series and Oracle.
* Ability to communicate SOA strategy and technical philosophy to business / technical teams.
* Related certifications in Architecture and/or Project Management a plus.
* Knowledge of Grid computing is a plus.
