  Job Description
Rapid Bridge's Design Services Division has an immediate need to hire several full-time or contract Noise Analysis / Signal Integrity Applications Engineers to join our team.

Noise Analysis / Signal Integrity Applications Engineer

Locations: San Diego and San Jose CA, Raleigh NC or work from home.

** In short, we need the engineer who can perform power bus noise analysis on a chip (not on-board or on-card). We need ASICs Noise Analysis Engineer on ASICs.


ASICs Power Supply Noise and Signal Integrity Analysis:
• Supporting OEM customers designing ASICs requires teamwork and excellent communication.
• Noise AEs provide technical support for Noise Analysis and Signal Integrity.
• Good communication and documentation skills are required.
• Candidates are expected to work to continue and improve modeling capabilities regarding the effects of power supply noise on the world's most complex Application Specific Integration Circuits, including evolving cores, high speed interfaces such as DDR3, high speed SerDes cores, custom packaging, and other non-standard ASIC offerings.
• Positions will likely require motivated self-starters to enable closure of technical issues in a team environment.
• Knowledge of EDA tool HSPICE required, (Synopsys, Cadence) is useful.
• ASICs Noise AEs will use the internal tool suite for power bus noise analysis.

Required skills (must haves):

• Firm understanding of system and chip level power supply distribution
• Fully literate in HSPICE
• Clear understanding of the ASIC packaging topology
• Good documentation and customer communication skills
• Experience with frequency domain analysis.
• Prior training on other on chip power integrity analysis tools (Apache, Sigrity, etc) a distinct plus.

Specific tool experience required:

• Knowledge of EDA tool HSPICE required, (Synopsys, Cadence) is useful.
• Prior experience with tool suite for power bus noise analysis.

Education and years of experience:

• BSEE required.
• At least 3 years of Noise Analysis/SI experience.
