KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Skills for All Levels * Minimum 6 years experience with: Hands-on development experience in J2EE and Java, web application ORACLE application development.
All phases of SDLC, preferably within both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Version control practices and version control tools like Subversion.
Developing software using J2EE web technologies Developing SQL queries, stored procedures, views and triggers for Oracle databases.
Reading, understanding and developing software from a functional specification Strong writing and communication tool skills. (MS Office skills, specifically MS Excel Word)
Effectively communicating and providing status updates to project management, development management, and technical leads.
Effectively communicating with customers, internal departments, and other outside parties in a professional manner.
Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills Reviewing code, identifying and resolving defects reported in DEV, QA, SIT, and UAT cycles (and/or ability to program software modules in these same cycles)
Following test scripts from Quality Assurance in addition to independent unit testing Multi-tasking, working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Developing back end applications using Java. Using an IDE, such as Eclipse or JBuilder XML and knowledge of generating Java data binding code from XSDs. J2EE web technologies such as EJBs.
ADDITIONAL BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE: At least one year of developing web applications using Ajax and Dojo Knowledge of IBM MQ, WebSphere, WebLogic and UNIX Developing in Tomcat. Developing Dojo widgets. Developing Crystal Reports Developing banking and financial applications is desired but not required. (Highly Desired)
