  Job Description
Responsibilities:

It is expected that the successful candidate would spend most of their time running reports although they would also be involved in the building of newly migrated ones. The team's report migration process is as follows:

# Work with front line risk managers to fully understand current process / establish business requirements.

# Re-engineer current process including re-writing of current code to improve speed and robustness

# Improve quality by adding additional controls to the process. Document the process.

# Prove out revised process / report by running in live environment with additional analysis until fully signed off.

# An example of a transferred report would be EDG Exotics Greeks by Underlier. This daily report compiles Delta, Vega and Gamma for each underlying equity using input files from Sophis.


Requirements:

# Candidate must be a highly motivated, energetic individual with the ability to learn quickly and deeply, most likely demonstrated by a very strong academic record.

# Candidate should be comfortable with completing repetitive tasks with meticulous attention to detail and a constant problem solving / process improvement focus.

# Must also be comfortable liaising with the department's wide range of global business partners.

# The candidate must have strong MS Excel and Access skills and be proficient in VBA programming.

# Individual should also have a reasonable amount of financial product knowledge or interest and ability to acquire such knowledge quickly.

# Running of reports requires a detailed understanding of both the process and the risk numbers. Candidate must have a natural curiosity for the numbers in order to add value and maximize this learning experience.

# Junior / new graduate candidates are considered providing they have a numerical, process orientated background demonstrated during internships or their studies.

# Some experience with VaR production, market data and time series is desirable. Experience in the financial industry, particularly large, money-centre banking is a positive.
