Job Specification:

Experience in managing and developing for SharePoint 2003 - 2010 would be a very big advantage. Experience in developing for the Immediacy CMC CMS would be an advantage.

Job Purpose - To participate, as a member of the Web Development team to develop functionality to bespoke and packaged Web Applications for both new requirements and enhancements to meet business requirements.
Provide ongoing operational and development support for these and other internal applications to ensure that the service delivered is in line with the SLAs, including troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrades

Responsibilities, Activities and Key Deliverables - Reporting to the Applications Support and Development Manager, the main areas of accountability are the development and subsequent support of the internal Web applications supported by IT, to meet the current business needs and service as defined in the SLA, including:
Develop new applications and enhancements to existing applications within the agreed internal development framework. This includes change control, code management, release control and formal testing.
Provide operational support to existing and new applications to agreed service levels.
Provide appropriate documentation for all development work to ensure they are fully

Essential
• Ability to develop applications using Visual Basic, C# and ASP. This should preferably include Classic ASP through to .Net 4.0.
• Database access technologies. Preferably using Oracle or SQL databases.
• SQL programming.
• Ability to interpret user requirements and produce appropriate technical designs and solutions.
• Experience in the use of various standard development systems and tools including Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio and IIS.
• Working knowledge of general web development technologies including HTML and JavaScript, preferably including the use of JQuery.
