Desktop Support Engineer
Diploma in IT
£14 - £18 per hour
Desktop Support Engineer :-
To provide the delivery of 2nd Line Support Services including:-
*Participate in the national 2nd Line Support team with the aim to deliver timely :
oIncident Resolution (break/fix)
oTechnical Request fulfilment (user hardware/software/network requirements)
oHardware configuration and maintenance
oSoftware installation and maintenance
oNetwork installation and maintenance
*Continuous queue monitoring and management of personally allocated calls
*Use of appropriate Systems and Tools to fulfil duties (e.g. Helpdesk / Service Management, imaging, software distribution, remote control, knowledge base, etc.)
You must be competent in the following areas:-
*Broad experience supporting Microsoft desktop product range
*Strong technical ability administering Windows Server 2003, IIS, Active Directory Services, Exchange 2003, AV and Backup systems
*Knowledge of LAN / WAN technologies, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
