  Job Description
The main tasks of the role include:
--Coding changes or new system functions using PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports and Pro*C
--To carry out unit testing and support system and user acceptance testing
--Ensuring that internal software development processes are maintained and improved
--Investigating potential software bugs and identifying/implementing solutions
--Assisting with formal impact analysis of potential software changes
--Assisting Business Analysts in requirements analysis, logical and physical design (including writing module specifications and producing documentation)
--Carrying out quality assurance activities.

The key performance indicators include:
--Quality software components and enhancements are delivered
--Low number of errors in delivered code
--Actual time to complete tasks compares favourably with estimates
--Customer surveys indicate confidence and satisfaction with the software.

Knowledge and skills required include:
--Willingness to accept responsibility, learn new skills
--Self-motivated and able to work well in a small team.
--Attention to detail and logical thinking
--Good communication skills required to work within a support environment
