Title: Datawarehouse Administrator

Skills: At least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2000 and higher), of which at least 3 years are spent in Data Warehousing efforts

Job description: Database Warehouse Administrator - Nashville, Tennessee

Summary
** Work under guidance and supervision of Database Administration manager to be the primary administrator and specialist for product data warehouses, as well as a member of the operational support team for operational databases.
** Maintain data integrity and security for all organizatons warehouses and databases.
** Assure acceptable performance of warehouse and database portion of all products.

Special Skills/Requirements:
** 4 year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (required)
** Masters' degree a plus
** At least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2000 and higher), of which at least 3 years are spent in Data Warehousing efforts.
** Demonstrated experience with all of the following required: Transact-SQL, data modeling, DTS, log shipping, data warehousing, ETL, Analysis Services, data cube design, generation and maintenance, and MDX.
** Experience as a database administrator including on-call duties required
** Experience with tuning query performance, examining execution plans, using Profiler traces and other performance diagnostic tools

Experience with the following preferred:
** Transactional replication, Notification Services, Analysis Services, Clustering, Reporting Services, Analytical tools such as ProClarity
**
Key Job Responsibilities:
** Install SQL Server in production, development and quality assurance environments.
** Tune SQL Server configuration settings, queries, physical and logical database design.
** Install and manage Analysis Services.
** Be on call 24x7 on a rotating basis and troubleshoot database issues individually or through a team effort.
** Mentor other DBA staff to help them support warehouse systems operationally.
** Investigate and resolve data issues as needed.
** Must be methodical and able to establish priorities.
** Must be able to recognize confidential data issues and maintain this confidentiality.
** Assist in Implementing SQL Server high-availability solutions including clustering, replication and log shipping " Perform deployments in production environment as needed.
** Perform routine database maintenance and software upgrades.
** Develop, test and execute disaster recovery plan as needed.
** Backup and restore databases on live, development or quality assurance servers as needed.

** Mentor to, learn from, and backup other database administrators as necessary.
