Evaluating customer business needs to contribute to strategic planning of information systems, facilities and software directions
Designing and developing high quality business solutions and other projects
Planning and coordinating resources necessary to complete product implementation and assisting in preparation of major sales proposals
Working with customers during preliminary installations and testing of developed solutions or products
Recognizing and advising management of potential problems and opportunities for follow-on business
Assisting with the preparation of sales proposals as needed
Determining methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel
BE in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in all MFG/PRO modules as product support specialist or billable consultant
In depth knowledge of Oracle and Progress database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery strategy
Knowledge of or experience with QAD MFG/PRO application, Progress 4GL, Oracle SQL, UNIX shell scripting and Java programming
Linux, UNIX, Windows and NT platform system administration, tuning and maintenance.
