  Job Description
Major Responsibilities

•Manage a team of professionals to develop, maintain, and trouble shoot the information systems for a manufacturing environment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
•Responsible for the support and development of computer systems and networks for the creation and transfer of information between suppliers, manufacturing departments, administrative management, program management, customers and all Magna physical locations.
•Guide the consolidation of telecommunication services, contracts and management for Decostar within the Magna-wide area network project. (WAN)
•Integrate the Lotus Notes E-mail and group communications capability for all Decostar staff to communicate with each other and access controlled corporate information.
•Manage the exchange of EDI information from our customer for the interpretation of scheduled release requirements and ASN transmissions.
•Maximize the efficiency of office automation on the local area network (LAN) through the support of Microsoft Office software on Decostar staff personal computers.
•Develop and maintain an annual operating budget for the Information Systems Department.
•Support the maintenance and trouble-shooting requirements of information systems for a manufacturing environment operating 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
•Manage the implementation and maintenance of MRP software.
•To work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge and Education

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required.
Work Experience

•Minimum five years experience in an automotive environment.
Skills and Competencies

•Project management experience.
•Systems implementation experience.
