  Job Description
My client is a major player in the service industry; they are looking for a Group Head of IT to develop and grow the department globally.

Reporting to the CIO you will work closely with the Executive team and other key decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organisation. Writing and presenting compelling business cases will be an essential aspect of the role.

This role would be expected to provide programme governance for IT projects, vendor management of key suppliers along with consistently operating to my clients standards, culture and values.

Duties

* Develop an annual IT business plan and operating budget and ensure the successful management and implementation of these to ensure operational and financial targets are met

* Understand vendor strategies,

* Authorise and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs.


* Responsible for driving the business forward from an IT perspective.

Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
