Commutable from Cardiff area, Newport, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Bristol

A number of .net developers are required to join a leading public sector organization based in Cardiff. Working in a variety of teams and project work the .net developers will be responsible for the design, deployment and management of national Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) systems. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in feature-oriented development teams building new functionality listed for inclusion in future releases of the system.

If you are a developer and currently looking to take the next step in your career working with one of the strongest development teams in South Wales then this organization will be happy to hear from you! Above all, as a developer joining this team you will need to have a high aptitude and drive with the ability to work well in a close knit team building high quality software using Microsoft technologies. Other requirements within this role will be to-
* Write quality, well-engineered, unit tested, maintainable and readable code.
* Implement unit tests and follow wherever possible a TDD approach.
* Participate in product and architecture development and design.
* Perform code reviews
* Work to the full Software Development Life Cycle preferably using Agile methodologies such as SCRUM

The .net developer must be able to comprehend complex issues and pro-actively propose solutions. The working environment is very dynamic, requiring constant updating of knowledge in both the technical and procedural aspects of the job. Any applicants for this role should have a solid understanding of -
* ASP.NET MVC and the latest Microsoft .NET technologies.~
* .NET (C# or VB.NET)
* HTML, CSS and JavaScript
* Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF)
* XML and XSLT
* Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server.
* SQL Server 2008 or above / T-SQL
