  Job Description
Specific Job Description:

Service Engineering Lead for current and future project phases, including onboarding activities for new suppliers. Duties include:

Leads a specific project within the Services Engineering organisation throughout the engineering life cycle: design, implementation, testing and technical operations support. Responsible for completing all technical objectives for the project/phase at or better than cost, schedule and quality targets.
Leads the technical review of all project/phase work products to ensure completeness, accuracy and quality.
Ensures the design and implementation is complete, contains all required components and that all dependencies are addressed.
Ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of the project/phase to the Service Management organisation.
Ensures team compliance with programme processes and adherence to strict quality standards.
Develops plans for all engineering initiatives for the project/phase. Establishes cost, schedule and technical baselines for each initiative and tracks progress against those baselines. Responsible to justify any deviation and provide corrective actions when necessary.
Supports the architecture team in requirements analyses and traceability.
Lead technical reviews with the customer, suppliers and auditors.
Provide engineering support to the Service Delivery Manager including participation in quality and service improvement initiatives, providing leadership for any technical initiatives.
Required Skills:

Must have the following listed capabilities, attributes or equivalents:

Formal qualifications in information, communications or technology from a recognised tertiary institution or extensive demonstrated equivalent skills and experience
Experience managing a cross-discipline technical team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience managing cost, schedule and technical baselines.
Experience with virtualisation technology, VMWare experience highly regarded.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
High level of initiative in developing and improving systems and procedures
Ability to work in a team environment, particularly one with competing demands from concurrent initiatives.
Ability to work autonomously in a professional environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to resolve technical issues of a more complex nature.
ITIL trained
Desired Skills:

Extensive experience in a service management environment, BMC Remedy experience highly regarded.
Experience with integrated, large-scale CMDB solutions, Federated CMDB implementations across multiple suppliers highly regarded
Experience with Event Management and correlation solutions, mulitple supplier soltuions are highly regarded
Experience with systems monitoring, configuration and orchestration solutions, Microsoft System Center experience highly regarded.
Experience with service catalogues, Kinetic Data experience highly regarded.
Experience with Active Directory, experience with multiple domain environments highly regarded.
