  Job Description
REQUIREMENTS

6 months relevant work experience desired.
The successful consultant will have demonstrable command of quantitative analysis tools and methods (related degree in math/statistics/engineering preferred) and experience with tools to support data retrieval and analysis.
The successful consultant will have strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and summarize findings of quantitative research for a business audience.
Quantitative tool skills should include experience using a statistical analysis toolkit such as SPSS, SAS, R, Minitab or similar.
Advanced knowledge of Excel is required.
Knowledge of relational database principles is required. Should include direct RDBMS hands-on usage (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Access, DB2, or similar). Understanding of / experience with Hadoop is a plus.
Business skills should include effective client communications, requirements gathering, presentation development and superior attention to detail. Strong Word and PowerPoint skills are required.
Experience with Business Intelligence / Visualization tools such as Power BI, PowerPivot, Power View, Cognos, Business Objects, JMP, Qlikview, Tableau, Spotfire, Microstrategy is desired.
Highly valued would be practical experience, including internships and coops, in which the candidate collected large data sets; performed analysis on the data; developed findings from the analysis into recommendations; and presented these for business decision making.
