  Job Description
Sceneone is working on an exclusive basis with a remarkable Scottish business with a history that dates back over 200 years. Central to their continued success is the evolution of their IT function which is central to maintaining their market advantage. As a result of an increased workload they are now looking to add to their software development team based in Paisley.

This is done through appropriate design, development, implementation, test and support of their management systems used worldwide. They are about to embark on an upgrade of their codebase that will see them migrate from VB to C# to make use of technology advancements.

The role will involve liaising with multiple business arms ranging from manufacturing, production, and IT managers as well as key staff globally.

You will be responsible for managing and developing a range of desktop applications.

Duties include:
Design, develop and implement new software
Proactively contribute to enhancement of system functional requirements.
Participate in optimisation of internal Systems Team processes to maximise development productivity and efficiency.
Design, develop and implement new systems functionality in line with functional requirements and to agreed time-lines.
Efficient management of assigned systems support requests ensuring internal customer expectations are appropriately managed.
Proactive initiation and participation in systems projects and research, producing deliverables in line with global colour systems strategy.
Ensure that all colour systems are effectively interfaced to third party and ERP systems.
Prepare clear and concise end user documentation, technical bulletins and standard operating procedures to support local user training and standardised system usage.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of database design and structure working throughout the full software development life-cycle in a results driven environment.

Skills/ Experience:

Programming skills with C# .Net or VB.Net
Skilled in software development using Visual Studio 2008/2010 and SQL Server 2008/2012.
Skilled in SQL Server performance and optimisation techniques.
Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
Appetite for continuous learning and personal development.
