  Job Description
Providing Technical Support related to Windows Servers to end users/customers.
Provide troubleshooting and technical support via Phone, Web Based Tools and Emails.
Advise customers regarding the product's proper use and address specific user issues.
During problem escalations, act as a liaison between customers and Tier 2 Technical supports.
Candidate will assist the customer base during installations and other technical activities.
Manage customer expectations of response time and issue resolution.
Troubleshoot and reproduce problems and define workarounds. Responsibilities: Specific accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for providing technical support coverage during hours assigned.
Providing technical responses to product questions reported via channel partner support, or at times direct from customers. Support is delivered by email and telephone via Inbound Calls.
Working with the engineering team on the more complex issues.
Delivering Service patches and upgrades to resolve issues.
Providing product feedback to reduce the number of issues experienced by the customer.
Back up and assist the solutions/applications engineering team when theyre in the field delivering projects.
Escalate where appropriate
Resolving any customer technical issues through diligent research, reproduction, and troubleshooting.
Keeping records of all technical inquiries; develop and review content for knowledgebase.
The ability to be a good listener, and to really understand a customer problem or question and help them solve it. Required Skill Sets/Certifications: Desired Skill Sets: MS Operating System Knowledge: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008,/2008 R 2

Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, File and Print Sharing, Routing and Remote Access

Directory Services: Active Directory Basics, FSMO Management, Group Policy Management, AD Troubleshooting
Hardware Skills: Desktops, Servers, Printers, Switches and Routers
Remote Desktop Services: Terminal Server Basic Skills
