  Job Description
Our client are a dynamic business servicing the film industry. They provide engineering, mastering, and content distribution services across the globe. They are looking for a really good DevOps candidate to join their expanding team.
The Role
The Systems Administration team are primarily responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's core infrastructure and systems.
You will be an experienced Systems Administrator or equivalent (2nd/3rd line Engineer) with minimum 3 years' experience installing, using and maintaining the company's workstations, servers and network.
You will implement improvements to existing systems and working practices, design and build new systems, and help and train colleagues in the use of the systems you build and support.

You will be joining the Infrastructure team reporting to the Director of IT. You will work closely with the rest of team, provide regular updates on progress and be responsible for the timely delivery of work utilising our ticketing system.
This role will including working with development and Infrastructure teams and you will act as a liaison between the two.
Essential skill requirements:
3+ years Linux (Ubuntu) Sys Admin experience
Extensive LAMP knowledge
PHP development experience – an understanding of the development process
SQL/MYSQL skills
Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, LDAP
Experience of VMware/KVM or other virtual environment
Experience with Puppet
Experience with Linux and commercial Firewalls
Strong communication skills
Experience in architecting for Amazon Web Services (EC2 and EBS, S3, Glacier, VPC, RDS, IAM, Route 53) or other cloud services
Understanding of security best practices
A passion for delivering innovative products
Experience with software versioning tools


Knowledge of the following would be an advantage:

Experience with Cisco routers and switches
Experience with Windows and Mac environment
Experience delivering high availability applications
