  Job Description
Highly Desired Skills/ Experience:

Knowledge of C, C++, Java, OSGI, Spring, XML, Spring, SQL, Oracle and Shell scripting
Must be able to work closely with Development, Product Management, QA and other key stakeholders
Ability to work on multiple problems simultaneously
Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics
Familiarity with SOA, cloud Computing and SOAP/REST Web Services Testing
Strong familiarity with Linux OS and performance optimizations. Knowledge of Linux or Unix internals and administration is highly desired
Applied experience with modern application technologies and design patterns including Cloud infrastructure, distributed computing, and horizontal scaling
Robust understanding of database technologies and performance optimization
Excellent written and verbal communication
Self-starter who is motivated to learn and is at ease working as part of a team of highly talented professionals


Minimum Requirements:

We need to have someone who has actively supported hadoop based systems or has been a hadoop administrator as well as have strong SQL skills
Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science/Engineering OR " STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
5+ years of experience in software industry with at least 3 years in software technical support. Saas support experience preferred
Experience using Hadoop technologies (HDFS, HBASE, Hive, Pig) PivotalHD distribution preferred
Facilitating access to large data sets utilizing Hive, HBASE and custom solutions
Experience using database, SQL, ETL and data analysis skills
Strong SQL skills including hands-on experience with NoSQL, Oracle, SQL server, Postgres
Hands-on experience in working with Unix/Linux and scripting language Shell, Python etc.
Hands-on experience with automation tool set Chef and Puppet
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools Icinga, Check_MK, Nagios, Zenoss etc.
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple critical and high priority issues simultaneously
Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics
Excellent written and verbal communication
