Substantial experience and demonstrated ability in configuration and maintenance of the following technologies:
Apache Tomcat Server (versions 6, 7 and 8)
Apache ActiveMQ (versions 5.4 and up)
Apache Camel (bundled with ActiveMQ as well as standalone instance)
JDBC to backend relational database such as Oracle and MS SQLServer
IBM WebSphere app server
Experience with Weblogic and JBOSS AS are a plus
Experience should include planning, configuration, optimization, performance tuning, high availability, fault tolerance setups, as well as debugging for production instances in both Windows and Linux server environments.
Strong in-depth knowledge in the following area:
Java web application debugging and troubleshooting using conventional logging framework, JMX enabled monitoring tools
Open Source Enterprise Bus Service Application (Apache Camel, JBOSS Fuse, WSO2, etc.). Although the primary focus is on Open Source products, familiarity and comfort with Commercial Enterprise Service Bus applications (e.g. Websphere Integrator, Tibco, WebMethods, SeeByond) are a plus.
Integrating enterprise software systems via XML-based protocols.
Integrating enterprise software systems via JSON and REST services
Load balancing technologies including Apache HTTPD, NGNIX, F5, Cisco, Citrix NetScaler, etc.
Working knowledge of the following area is preferred:
XML and XSLT
JSON and REST patterns
Relational database scripting: PL/SQL, T-SQL
HTTP request/response protocol
Basic understanding of computer network and its components
Basic understanding of network security and its components
