  Job Description
Requirements and General Skills:

8-10 years experience with Teradata and its toolset
Expertise in best practices for Informatica based ETL design and development
Senior ETL , Teradata specialist with sound knowledge of Unix as well
Excellent SQL skills required
Sound working knowledge of Unix scripting, scheduling, FTP
Experience using ERWIN or any other data modeling tool.
Design data mapping from source systems to Datawarehouse
Document processes and mentor development staff through the software development lifecycle process
Work with business analysts and end users to define business rules and interpret data
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person
Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast paced environment
