Description

Lead software testing for multi-featured fixed wireless access and home internet gateway products, focusing on 5G and 4G/LTE functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Design test strategies, plans, and cases for new products and incremental features based on customer or industry requirements.
• Execute tests in lab environments to validate 5G and 4G/LTE protocols and system architectures.
• Document software issues with technical details and logs, and simulate customer-reported issues to determine root causes.
• Collaborate with R&D and customers to manage expectations and resolve post-sales technical issues.
• Contribute to product design discussions regarding software feature and interoperability compatibility across platforms.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience with telecommunications products and technologies.
• Deep knowledge of 5G and 4G/LTE protocols, including ENDC, CA, NSA, SA, VoLTE, and handovers.
• Experience testing 5G and 4G/LTE CPE devices, specifically Fixed Wireless Access routers or gateways.
• Proficiency with 5G/4G/LTE test tools such as Amarisoft Callbox.
• Experience using traffic generators including Spirent Test Center, IxChariot, or iPerf.
• Hands-on experience with Wireshark, configuration editors, and test management tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of IP networking protocols (IPv4, IPv6, SNMP, STP, DHCP, TFTP, FTP, TCP, UDP).
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 6E, including wireless encryption (WPA2/WPA3, WPA, WEP), WPS, DFS, and WMM.
• Experience with embedded operating systems such as OpenWRT and Linux, and competency in Python, TCL, and shell scripting.

Preferred Skills

• 10+ years of telecommunications experience with DOCSIS, fiber, or Packet Cable 1.5/2.0 specifications.
• Knowledge of VoIP architectures and testing with Asterisk PBX or Ameritec.
