Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer to support modernization initiatives by analyzing and breaking down existing Ab Initio code and transforming it into a modern tech stack. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on cloud-based architectures and next-generation data platforms, while expanding skills into Java and Big Data technologies.

Ab Initio Expertise and Modernization

- Need for Ab Initio expertise to break down existing code.

- Rewriting code in new tech stack, offering learning opportunities.

- Preference for Ab Initio developers willing to learn Java.

- Recent Ab Initio experience preferred, but older experience acceptable with hands-on skills.

Key Responsibilities

•              Analyse and decompose existing Ab Initio codebases for modernization.

•              Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable and efficient solutions.

•              Contribute to data pipeline development and optimization.

•              Ensure clean, maintainable, and high-quality code standards throughout the modernization process.

Required Skills & Experience

•              Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio (ETL Development).

•              Ability to work on legacy code decomposition and migration projects.

•              Willingness and ability to learn Java as part of modernization efforts.

•              Solid understanding of data processing and ETL frameworks.

•              Recent Ab Initio experience preferred; however, older experience is acceptable if backed by strong hands-on expertise
