Description

You will analyze and decompose existing Ab Initio codebases to support modernization initiatives, transforming legacy ETL logic into a modern tech stack. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to design scalable solutions while expanding your skills into Java and big data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and break down existing Ab Initio code for migration to modern architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of new data pipelines.
• Ensure clean, maintainable, and high-quality code standards throughout the modernization process.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio for ETL development.
• Proven ability to work on legacy code decomposition and migration projects.
• Willingness and ability to learn Java as part of the modernization effort.
• Solid understanding of data processing and ETL frameworks.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.

Preferred Skills

• Recent Ab Initio experience preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with older Ab Initio versions is acceptable if accompanied by strong practical skills.
