Description

Design and implement distributed data processing systems using Ab Initio, managing the full lifecycle from requirement analysis to performance tuning and code migration.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Ab Initio graphs using the GDE environment and EME.
• Create code migration strategies to transition Java Batch and PL/SQL code to Ab Initio.
• Develop UNIX shell scripts to automate graph execution and encapsulate code for schedulers.
• Execute requirement analysis, estimation, scoping, design, and performance tuning.
• Develop technical specifications and support unit and system testing.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in distributed systems development using Ab Initio software.
• Proficiency with Ab Initio suite products: Control Center, ACE, BRE, and Metadata hub.
• Strong UNIX shell scripting skills for automation.
• Experience with SQL and relational database management systems.
• Working knowledge of core Java, JEE, and Web Services.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and exposure to open-source tools like Talend or Pentaho.
• Understanding of Hadoop concepts including HDFS and HBase.

Preferred Skills

• Experience debugging and modifying complex data workflows.
