Description

You will design, build, and orchestrate Ab Initio data pipelines using GDE, DML, and XFR.

You will analyze existing in-house logic, develop new transformation statements, and automate workflows through the CICS pipeline with Jules and Spinnaker.

Responsibilities

• Design and build complex Ab Initio graphs end-to-end in GDE, managing component configuration, metadata propagation, partitioning, and checkpointing.
• Write efficient programming logic using DML, XFR, and embedded scripting, avoiding costly per-record operations.
• Implement a reusable framework mindset with parameterized graphs, shared subgraphs, and standardized logging/error handling patterns.
• Maintain strict metadata discipline, ensuring robust record formats, strict typing, and proper schema evolution strategies.
• Execute CI/CD workflows for environment deployment and orchestration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Ab Initio core development.
• Strong proficiency in GDE, DML, and XFR.
• Experience with CICS pipeline automation, including Jules and Spinnaker.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and practices.
• Strong foundation in ETL design and data quality.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
• Experience with performance engineering and scalability optimization.
