Design, develop, test, and support ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE graphs and transforms for large-scale data processing.
Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) logic from multiple source systems into target data stores, data warehouses, and data marts.
Work with Ab Initio EME (Enterprise MetaEnvironment) for metadata management, version control, collaboration, and deployment.
Develop reusable components such as XFRs, DMLs, parameter files, and reference data structures.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, error handling, and performance tuning of ETL jobs.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Modelers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable ETL designs.
Support production ETL jobs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to SLA and operational requirements.
Follow established coding standards, naming conventions, data governance, and development best practices.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including ETL design documents, source-to-target mappings, technical specifications, and operational runbooks.
Mandatory Technical Skills
2–6 years of hands-on experience in Ab Initio ETL development.
Strong expertise in Ab Initio GDE graph development, transforms, and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Working knowledge of Ab Initio EME (Enterprise MetaEnvironment) for metadata management, versioning, and collaboration.
Strong understanding of ETL concepts, Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and ETL design patterns.
Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, data validation, and troubleshooting.
Experience working with large data volumes and performance-sensitive ETL jobs.
Good understanding of data validation, reconciliation, error handling, and performance tuning.
Ability to develop reusable and scalable ETL components using Ab Initio
