Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Ab Initio graphs for enterprise ETL and data integration projects. This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize complex ETL graphs and reusable components using GDE.
• Build data processing workflows using Co>Operating System, Control Center, and Conduct>It.
• Create and manage MP (Multi-File System) and parallel processing components.
• Write shell scripts for job automation, scheduling, and production support.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize job performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment).
• Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation.
• Deep knowledge of database platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, Db2, Teradata, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience developing complex ETL graphs, data profiling, cleansing, and validation.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas) and parallel processing.
• Ability to work with business analysts and data architects to translate requirements.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of scheduling tools like Control-M, Autosys, or Cron.
