Description

You will design, develop, and optimize complex data processing components using Ab Initio.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize Ab Initio graphs and components using GDE to meet user needs.
• Tune Ab Initio processes by maximizing component use and the MFS file system to reduce processing time.
• Build and execute SQL queries for data analysis, extraction, and system requirement validation.
• Create UNIX wrapper scripts for complex transformation logic and apply design patterns in Ab Initio.
• Perform unit testing, documentation, and code reviews to ensure software quality.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with AbInitio.
• Proficiency in ETL processes using Ab Initio GDE.
• Strong command of SQL for data manipulation and validation.
• Experience scripting with Unix environments.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles.
• Ability to collaborate with business analysts and end users on requirements gathering.
• Familiarity with code review and quality assurance practices.
