Description

Engineer and document telecommunication transmission systems to deliver voice, video, data, and wireless services across regional and national converged networks.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement projects delivering services from DS-0 through DWDM, including Native Ethernet and IP Services over fiber and coaxial lines.
• Develop detailed network designs, engineering specifications, and Methods of Procedure (MOP).
• Manage customer service order queues and complete tasks within defined SLAs.
• Analyze network vulnerabilities, capacity needs, and operational measurement data to minimize risk and plan for future growth.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Engineering or Technical Operations.
• Technical proficiency in DWDM, SONET, TDM, Ethernet, and IP services.
• Hands-on experience with Granite and Mint.
• Working knowledge of transmission, switching, powering, grounding, mechanical, and cabling.
• Experience managing database inventories and technical documentation.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and SLAs.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• CCNA certification.
• MEF Carrier Ethernet Certification Program certification.
