Description

Lead the accounts payable function, managing corporate, domestic, and foreign agent payables. Own the end-to-end AP process and ensure compliance with vendor payment terms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-currency counter-settlements and foreign agent payables with trade partners.
• Resolve complex A/P issues and serve as the primary contact for vendor and internal inquiries.
• Monitor A/P aging, implement reconciliation processes, and resolve aged payables.
• Manage AP mailboxes to ensure appropriate processing times and resolution speeds.
• Mentor Accounts Payable Specialists and maintain documented A/P best practices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in accounts payable.
• 4+ years of experience in team handling and leadership.
• Postgraduate degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end AP process and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under high pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors, clients, and internal departments.

Preferred Skills

• Discipline to implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Resourceful approach to resolving urgent A/P check, ACH debit, or wire requests.
