Description

You will provide coding and report design expertise to deliver reports within the AASHTOWare Project application and Grape City toolset.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify new reports based on database tables and existing code.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and thorough documentation.
• Break down designs into milestones and work items, tracking status and dependencies.
• Coordinate test validation and rollout, including the creation of training materials.
• Recommend standard report frameworks and mentor team members on development processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in report design and development.
• Proficiency with Grape City Active Reports (version 10 and above).
• Experience with AASHTOWare Project (AWP) and Grape City tools implemented in AWP.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2016, including queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, entities, and relationships.
• Programming skills in .NET and Java, including scripting, error handling, and debugging.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and event-driven programming.
• Ability to manipulate data flow between disparate systems and manage data integration, validation, and cleaning.
• Experience designing application test suites.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of preconstruction processes within a state-level DOT.
