Description

You manage and maintain large-scale database environments, executing complex migrations and resolving production issues. You own the full lifecycle of application migrations, database builds, decommissioning, upgrades, and patching.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage application migrations, database builds, and decommissioning in coordination with US and UK application owners.
• Resolve production issues, apply patches, and manage disaster recovery implementations.
• Execute capacity planning, performance analysis, and operational performance reporting.
• Implement service improvements and drive compliance with organizational processes and policies.
• Provide on-call and weekend support for SQL and MySQL on a rotational basis.

Required Skills

• 5 to 8 years of experience in SQL Server administration.
• Expertise in MSSQL server internals, query optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience managing large databases ranging from 10TB to 30TB.
• Advanced proficiency in table partitioning and maintenance.
• Proven experience troubleshooting Always On and clustering for HA/DR.
• Strong automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or T-SQL.
• Experience with AWS Cloud services, specifically RDS, S3, and Redshift.
• Working knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, and Azure.
• Experience with Snowflake.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge or expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, or Oracle.
• MS certifications on latest MSSQL versions or AWS/Azure certifications.
• Experience with PowerBI.
