Description

You will provide professional administrative support to an executive to manage routine and average difficulty tasks.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the executive's office, the governor's office, state and federal agencies, and community organizations.
• Manage correspondence, compose replies, and assemble information for speeches and staff meetings.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned clerical staff and make personnel recommendations.
• Handle complaints and requests from legislators, citizens, and employees.
• Coordinate travel arrangements, manage expense accounts, and order office supplies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional or paraprofessional experience.
• Experience assigning, training, supervising, and evaluating clerical staff.
• Ability to manage routine and non-routine correspondence.
• Experience performing personal contact duties and representing an office at meetings or gatherings.
• Proficiency in operating standard office machines and equipment.
• Ability to take minutes during staff meetings.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with government and community stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within state or local government agencies.
