Description

You will provide administrative support to an executive by managing routine tasks and acting as a liaison between various government and community agencies.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the executive's office and the governor's office, state departments, local/federal agencies, and community organizations.
• Manage correspondence, including composing replies and assembling information for speeches and staff meetings.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate clerical staff and make recommendations regarding personnel actions.
• Coordinate travel arrangements, maintain expense accounts, and manage office supply procurement.
• Handle complaints and requests from legislators, citizens, and employees.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional or paraprofessional experience.
• Analytical skills for handling routine to average difficulty assignments.
• HR skills for supervising and evaluating staff.
• Strong organizational skills to manage administrative details and office equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a teamwork-oriented environment.
• Experience taking minutes at staff meetings and operating standard office machinery.

Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent amount of professional experience.
