Description

You will provide professional administrative support to an executive, managing routine and average difficulty tasks within a government context.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the executive office, the governor's office, state departments, local and federal agencies, and community organizations.
• Manage professional correspondence, compose replies, and prepare information for speeches and staff meetings.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned clerical staff, providing recommendations on personnel actions.
• Handle complaints and requests from legislators, citizens, and employees.
• Coordinate travel arrangements, maintain expense accounts, and manage office supply orders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional or paraprofessional experience.
• Experience in assigning, training, and supervising staff.
• Ability to manage routine and non-routine professional correspondence.
• Competency in operating standard office machines and equipment.
• Experience in meeting minute taking and information assembly.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience on a year-for-year basis (up to four years).
