Description

You will architect, develop, and maintain AI-enabled Java applications and services, focusing on RAG implementations and cloud-native deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines, embeddings, and retrieval mechanisms for RAG scenarios using Java and AWS services.
• Build and maintain AI-enabled features within Spring Boot services, integrating with enterprise tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and qTest.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous reviews, testing, and documentation while optimizing for cost and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Monitor and tune performance of cloud-native applications on AWS, advocating for secure and efficient development practices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software or AI engineering with a focus on Java.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and ORM concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS/Fargate, and S3.
• Experience with vector databases and search, specifically OpenSearch or Aurora PostgreSQL (pgvector).
• Familiarity with Python for AI/ML workflows and tooling.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD practices, Git, and unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cost optimization, security controls, and multi-AZ/multi-region deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with MCP tool integrations and enterprise workflow systems.
