Description

You will design complex cloud and on-premise solutions while defining architectural roadmaps and strategies for client partners.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements from client partners to define technical vision and approach.
• Design complex cloud and on-premise architectures and lead collaborative discussions with other leads.
• Establish level-of-effort estimates and staffing requirements for development projects.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code and design reviews.
• Implement secure coding practices and maintain high quality standards across the lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Lead Engineer on large, complex IT projects.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in Application Architecture and Design.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Watson Assistant and IBM Watson Discovery.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or NodeJS.
• Experience with Web Services, APIs, and security mechanisms like OAuth and Basic Auth.
• Cloud experience with Azure or IBM Cloud.
• Strong database skills including RDBMS and NoSQL.

Preferred Skills

• IBM Watson Certification and experience with Event-driven architecture using Kafka.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps experience.
• Database expertise in Oracle, MySQL, Mongo, or Redis.
