Description

Lead end-to-end AI solution architecture on Azure, driving initiatives from discovery and PoC through production hardening and scale-out.

Responsibilities

• Define reference architectures for RAG, vector indexing, embeddings, and multi-model pipelines using Azure AI services.
• Architect solutions integrating Azure OpenAI, AI Search, Cognitive Services, and backend systems like .NET, AKS, and Cosmos DB.
• Provide technical direction across engineering teams, ensuring adherence to Microsoft best practices, security, and performance standards.
• Drive responsible AI guardrails, content filters, and data privacy compliance while mentoring engineers on reusable patterns.
• Lead customer ideation workshops, technical design reviews, and RFP solutioning with accurate cost and effort estimations.

Required Skills

• 15+ years in software solution engineering with 5+ years as a Lead Architect or Principal.
• Expertise in RAG architectures, LLM application design, prompting, and orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, and Prompt Flow.
• Proficiency in Azure AI Search, including vector hybrid retrieval, custom scoring, and reranking.
• Strong backend skills in .NET Core, Python, and Azure PaaS (Functions, App Service, AKS).
• Experience with Azure ML, model registries, and performance engineering (load testing, token optimization).
• Solid grounding in security, identity (Entra ID), VNet peering, and data governance.

Preferred Skills

• Proven experience in presales, RFP authoring, and solution proposal estimations.
• Familiarity with Power Platform, M365, and Azure DevOps for delivery pipelines.
