Description

Own end-to-end AI solution architecture from discovery through production hardening and scale-out on Azure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define reference architectures for RAG, LLM apps, agents, and multi-model pipelines using Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, and Prompt Flow.
• Integrate Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search, Cognitive Services, and backend systems (Cosmos DB, SQL, Event Hub) with secure networking.
• Lead design reviews, threat modeling, and governance to ensure solution integrity, reliability, and adherence to Microsoft best practices.
• Translate business outcomes into solution blueprints, epics, nonfunctional requirements, and operational runbooks.
• Mentor engineers, build reusable patterns, and drive RFPs, RFIs, and customer workshops.

Required Skills

• 15+ years in software solution engineering with 5+ years as an Architect or Lead Principal.
• Expertise in RAG architectures, LLM application design, prompting, orchestration, and grounding.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search (vector/hybrid), and Cognitive Services.
• Strong performance engineering skills: load testing, profiling, token optimization, caching, and autoscaling.
• Proficiency in .NET/C#, ASP.NET Core, Azure PaaS, GitHub/Azure DevOps, and SQL Server/Cosmos DB.
• Experience with Power Platform and M365 integration.
• Solid grounding in security, compliance, identity (Entra ID), VNET/Private Endpoints, and Responsible AI practices.

Preferred Skills

• RFP/Pre-Sales experience including solutioning, proposal authoring, and cost/effort estimation.
• Proven track record driving AI solutions from ideation to implementation in enterprise environments.
