You will design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions to enhance public safety business processes and decision-making.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build solutions enabling personnel to query CLEMIS data using natural language instead of SQL.
• Preprocess, train, validate, and deploy ML models leveraging public safety datasets (CAD, RMS, FRMS).
• Extract data from on-premise Oracle/SQL Server databases and transform it for AWS cloud hosting.
• Implement advanced Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities using AWS Bedrock and industry models like Claude or AWS Titan/Nova.
• Ensure data handling includes masking sensitive information such as CJIS and PII.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML solution development.
• Proficiency in Python and R.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras.
• Familiarity with ML libraries including Scikit-learn.
• Experience with big data processing using Apache Spark or Databricks.
• Expertise in AWS cloud environment deployment.
• Ability to work with Vector Databases (e.g., PineCone).
• Experience with Jupyter Notebooks.

Preferred Skills

• Background in public safety or law enforcement data systems.
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) for domain-specific queries.
