You will build a solution allowing law enforcement and authorized users to query CLEMIS data using natural language instead of complex SQL or traditional search interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data extraction processes from on-premise Oracle/SQL Server databases to the AWS cloud.
• Transform and mask sensitive information (CJIS, PII) during data ingestion.
• Store extracted data in optimized formats suitable for AI/ML workloads, including Vector DBs like PineCone.
• Enable advanced Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities utilizing AWS Bedrock and industry-standard models (Claude, AWS Titan/Nova).
• Develop search functionality initially targeting CLEMIS datasets (People, Incidents/Offenses) with future integration into RMS data for predictive analysis.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience with Public Safety applications (CAD, RMS, FRMS).
• Proficiency in Python and R.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn.
• Experience with big data processing tools: Apache Spark, Databricks.
• Ability to architect solutions hosted entirely within the AWS Cloud.
